Mother & Daughter Day

My daughter and I are getting photographed this Sunday. I am both nervous and excited. It will be a good adventure for me. It's been a long while since I've been on the other side of the camera with someone else taking the picture, and not just having my timer set. Always good to put yourself in the shoes of your clients. This will be prep for a fun day coming up in May! I have a friend who asked me to shoot her daughter and herself..and I had a light bulb. I so love light bulbs :) She has a bunch of good lady friends who all have daughters. We are going to get together on a weekend day in May and have a day of celebrating that special, one of a kind relationship. Going to shoot individual families and then group shots of the Mom's and daughters at play. I have a ideas screaming in my head. Very excited. If anyone else is interested in setting a day up like this, please let me know!

Baby D

We started off with lots of spirit :) I enjoyed myself very much.

So many emotions when you see a sleeping baby..only word I can come up with is the sound "awww"!!

He looks like such a little man
We had a bit of melt down..we are saying he was warm and tired and hungry.. because if it was just he didn't enjoy my company..everyone knows I may cry too ;)

The "milk stare" :)

Big sweet tear still hanging there by his right eye..

This is the look I got most of the time my camera was in his precious little face. I still have hope next time he will warm up to the big black eye looking at him..or maybe the voice behind it ;)

Mama J is smitten with her new little man..
And little man loves his Mama..stopped crying soon as her arms held him.
All done :)

A good move

My daughter and I will be moving to Carlisle. Slowly but surely by June. Will be wonderful to be settled in a central area for us both. Also some room for a small studio in the future. Excited :)

Precious T & R

Little man, T is 4 now! His baby sister, is becoming a little person too. Love watching them grow! They were my champions on Saturday! Another photographer was at this location and was shooting a teenaged model..he laughed as I was jumping up and down making funny noises at little R, and said "That's why I don't do kids..too hard" :) I was thinking that's why I do ! So fun and heart warming to get one real smile from the little ones!

this makes me happy to the core!

Just a thought

If you want to give your pictures a quick pick me up...with any program from Photoshop to Kodak picture maker at Wall Mart. If you bump up the contrast and the saturation (color) of the photo it gives it a bit more life. What I do to almost every picture I take.

Some photos of mine that explain what my camera settings were on.

WAS REALLY DARK SO ISO AT 1600 MAKES PHOTO GRAINY BUT I LIKE THE EFFECT. I JUST LIKE THE LOOK OF PHOTOS WITH OUT FLASH.
THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL LIGHT!! BOUT SUNSET.. GETTING LITTLE DARK SO I BUMPED ISO UP. THE FOCAL LENGTH IS WHAT LENS I WAS USING AND HOW FAR AWAY I WAS. I WAS TELLING FRIEND 100MM IS BOUT THE BEST DISTANCE TO BE FOR A PORTRAIT ..IT WILL BLUR THE BACKGROUND LIKE THIS.
IT WAS A DREARY DAY..ISO 800
LOWER LIGHT..DIDN'T WANT FLASH, BUMPED ISO TO 800 WANTED BOTH IN FOCUS SO APETURE AT 2.8
WANTED MORE IN FOCUS SO APETURE IS LITTLE HIGHER AND IT WAS GREAT SUN SO ISO 200
IT'S SUNNY SO MY ISO IS 200 APETURE IS 2.0 STILL ENOUGH TO HAVE HER IN FOCUS
ISO IS HIGHER AND THE APETURE. ACTION MORE IN FOCUS AND FASTER. STILL IN AV MODE. IT'S MY FAV

This is my day job. I brought my camera and lens with me. It needed to be with me the day after purchase. ;) I decided to play a little.
This saves my life every day. Others around me it saves as well. Ear piece. Answering 150-200 calls a day, without it..I wouldn't be as nice as I'd want to be I'm afraid.
Work has a new meaning the next 13 weeks. We are having our own Biggest Looser contest. This is the scale... "the scale" ugh. I had an accident involving a softball bat, and my
sweet little daughter at practice.. that has left me with a fractured rib. I can't work out yet.. so losing weight is super hard for me. Counting calories is tiring. I would rather run and sweat it out for an hour and eat the cookie :)
A LOT of yogurt in the community fridge now!!!!

I am trying :) I can't give up coffee or peanut butter..ok I don't like that word but I do feel that way at times. Truthfully, I don't "want" to give it up. I bleed caffeine and peanut butter.
It's hard to drink what you need to when you have to use the restroom more often than you can when you have a phone hooked to your ear :) but we try!

This is Mrs. W...she is my friend and co worker. Makes the day world worth living.

My friend and co worker Mrs. W is a good influence!!!!!!
can you see the Bk coupons..those say to me "eat a burger..and fries, yum"
